Nelspruit Lowveld Botanical Gardens: How much does a function cost?

The Nelspruit Botanical Gardens (officially known as Lowveld National Botanical Gardens) is an excellent venue for hosting events and functions.

Events and functions with 10 or fewer people do not require special bookings or rates. Only the standard entrance fee is payable.

For all other functions, bookings are essential. Additional rates and a refundable indemnity fee apply.

Rates for functions at Lowveld Botanical Garden in Nelspruit:

Kids' Birthday Parties (more than 10 people):

- Adults: R55 per person

- Scholar: R30 per person

- Children under 6: Free

- Jumping Castle: R150

- Trampoline: R150

Functions:

- Open-air function: R55 per person

- Structured (marquee) event: R60 per person

- Weddings (open air & structured): R70 per person

- Visitor’s Centre - Conference Facility: R2,000 per day (max 60, thereafter R35 per person)

Filming:

- Music - Marketing Purposes: R1,500 for the first 2 hours and then R450 per hour, plus normal entrance fee per person.

- Documentaries / Films: R1,500 for the first 2 hours and then R450 per hour thereafter plus normal entrance fee per person.

- Miscellaneous (Home use): R300 for the first 2 hours and then R150 per hour thereafter plus normal entrance fee

Concerts & Exhibitions:

- R35,000 per day for 1,000 attendees, thereafter R35 per person

Additional Refundable Indemnity Fee:

This indemnity fee is applicable if all requirements have been adhered to:

Picnics & Birthday Parties:

- R300 for persons more than 20 but less than 50.

- R500 for persons more than 50 but less than 100

- R2,500 for persons more than 100 but less than 200

- R4,000 for more than 200 persons

Conference Facility: R2,000

Weddings:

- R1,000 for a day wedding for 100 persons

- R2,000 for more than 100 persons for a day function

- R5,000 for more than 100 persons for an evening function

Concerts & Exhibitions: R4,500
